I finished ( I think...) my practice Buddha and feel a lot wiser about the process. I'm glad I tried this before attempting the bigger one I sketched out. I'll probably do a few more like this but in different colors so I can play around and see what I like best.
This is gorgeous! How big is the 'bigger' one?
ReplyDeleteThank You Sheila! Oh gosh the bigger one is 18 x 24 and this one is 9x12. One thing I'll have to do is get comfortable with a bigger brush!
ReplyDeleteNo secret. I was in the drive up window line and just started taking photos. Sometimes you need to take a lot. ( I took about 12 when I was at In n Out) You find one kind of interesting with shapes and composition and then you crop. Sometimes out of a big scene you'll find just a tiny snippet that looks interesting. Just have your camera phone or camera with you all the time.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a great job on this Sheila. Like all of your paintings...so beautiful and calming!
ReplyDeleteThank You Sheila for the great tips, I did get a new small camera that I take everywhere with me and try to snap shots up everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle!!! for the positive comments. I'm working it for all I got! heehee!
Simple and beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
